With the release of its first firearm, the Model 38101SO Revolver, Taurus Firearms soon became a major firearms manufacturer in South America. Not to diminish the fact that Taurus Firearms manufacturers a superb firearm, a much greater catalyst to their growth came in 1984when they became the first firearms manufacturer to offer a lifetime repair policy. Since it took other manufacturers years to offer the same policy, Taurus Firearms was able to capture the bulk of US firearms sales through the early 1990′s.
